The Guide to Baby Showers for New Dads

Baby showers – I would love to tell you that all you need to know is to remind your wife to bring a plate of cake, cookies, and candy home for you, but unfortunately that is not the case.



You probably thought that when you got married your days of attending showers was over – so did I – but found out that wasn’t the case.

It seems that someone came up with the idea that men should have to attend baby showers and created what they call “couples showers”. Fortunately for me, of the four that were given to us, only one was a couples shower – I hope you’re that lucky!

Don’t worry though – it actually wasn’t that bad. In fact at mine beer and food was involved so it was more like a party where I had to open presents that contained things like onesies, receiving blankets, and diaper pails.

Just make sure that your friends are coming and know that you won’t have to spend the entire time oohing and aahing over all the cutsie stuff you get.

After all, I survived and so will you.
