The Pregnancy Guide for New Dads

Congratulations! You’re going to be a new dad and are going to experience a pregnancy first hand! Now read that sentence over and over until it sinks in.

Trust me it still hasn’t sunk in, but it will, gradually and the first time you hold that baby in your arms the weight of the world will fall on your shoulders. Ok so maybe not the whole world, but I guarantee you’ll have an “aha” moment where you realize you’re no longer just a man and a husband, but now a father too!

For now though your number one job is husband and during a time like this it is plenty for one guy to deal with.

If you are anything like me when my wife told me she was with child, you have more questions than answers right now. Maybe you’re a little freaked out right now – I mean you have at most 8 months left to prepare.

Or perhaps you’re more like the grasshopper and figure there’s plenty of time to worry – you still have 8 months to prepare.

Well if you’re the first then take a deep breath and don’t worry too much there is plenty of time. If you’re the second then make sure you don’t wait until the last minute to figure everything out – there is a lot to get done.

Either way – I’m here to help! You have questions and I have answers. I’ll cover a variety of topics in the pages below:

If you want to learn more of the details about this whole process, check out the Complete Pregnancy Guide which takes you from pre-conception, through pregnancy and childbirth. A week by week guide will tell you exactly what is happening to the pregnant woman's body throughout each of the 40 weeks. If you're trying to get pregnant, we have tips on conceiving too!
